FR: En parallèle à ses activités de guitariste au sein d’Ultraphallus, Y.E.R.M.O ou encore en duo avec le poète et performer Vincent Tholomé, Xavier Dubois prend la tengeante pour un album instrumental entièrement consacré à la guitare. Partagé entre mélodies intimistes et goût du risque, Xavier développe son propre langage mélangeant compositions et improvisation.

Sunset Gluts, album situé au confluent du folk, du blues et l’expérimentation, est composé de 16 tableaux contrastés oscillants entre beauté impressionniste et ambiances cinématographiques. Les morceaux, parfois très courts, s’enchaînent comme autant de vignettes d’une même histoire. Explorant tour à tour guitare acoustique, guitare préparée et ukulélé baryton, Xavier emporte l’auditeur dans un voyage interne à la noirceur rayonnante où les fantômes de John Fahey, Marc Ribot ou Fred Frith sont invoqués.
